Growing up, I had no idea what I wanted to be. Up until my senior year of high school, I couldn’t figure out what I wanted to do with my life during and after college. It took me up until halfway through my senior year to discover my passion; journalism. I remember sitting in study hall and reading an ESPN article about LeBron James and the Miami Heat. This inspired me to create my own blog and post about it as well. That’s when it all started. I continued posting sports news and opinions on my blog, and it took off from there. That is when I chose journalism. I started covering sports for The Rocket during my freshman year at SRU, and it has been a great experience thus far. This being my senior year, I decided to apply for the sports editor position at The Rocket. I joined this staff because I love writing about and covering sports. My career goals have been the same ever since that day I created my blog: to work for ESPN. That’s been my dream for a long time, and I won’t shy away from it. The Rocket has given me great experience throughout my three years of being a contributor. I’m excited and ready to take over as the next sports editor.
