Since I was a little girl, my life revolved around sports. If I wasn’t outside running or in the gym shooting hoops, I was watching SportsCenter or reading box scores and stats in the paper. In my high school english class, I discovered my writing skills and my knack for story telling. I knew sports journalism was the path for me. Although I’ve learned a lot through the journalism classes I’ve taken at Slippery Rock, nothing is more prized to me than my experience with The Rocket. Through my freshman year as a contributing writer, all the way up to my junior year as the Sports Editor of the paper, I can’t express how grateful I am for the chances and opportunities I’ve been given. I love my job and the staff I work with.
