Communication has always been something that enthralls me. Whether it be through speech, debate, theatre, or literature, the love of sharing ideas has had a huge part in shaping me as an individual as well as a student of the human condition.

It is this love of the art of communication that led me to seek an English education degree at SRU as well as apply to be a part of The Rocket staff.

Aside from working at The Rocket, this semester I am the president of SRU’s Feminist Majority Leadership Alliance, an organization that promotes gender equality on and off campus. Activism is a very important part of my life as well as part of the reason I became interested in journalism. Print and digital journalism has completely changed and shaped modern activism as well as general information sharing, and I am so excited to be a part of that at a collegiate level.

When I’m not changing the world or reading about someone else doing it, I’m usually taking long walks through my local Target store or taking a BuzzFeed quiz about which 19th century feminist author I am.

I am so excited for the opportunity to be working on The Rocket staff this year and to share my love of communication with the SRU campus.
