November 7 – University Police responded to a fire alarm activation in Suite D. Upon the officers’ arrival the building was evacuated. The responding officer determined a water mainline burst. Safety and Maintenance arrived and the building was repaired.

November 8 – University Police received a fire alarm activation in Rhoads Hall and notified Safety to respond. Upon arrival the building was evacuated. Safety determined the cause was burnt food from an individual cooking in the microwave. Residents were permitted to re-enter.

November 10 – University Police responded to an E-phone activation in Central Loop. After reviewing the video, the “person just pressed the E-phone for no reason. Person was cited.”

November 11 – University Police received a call regarding a possible hit-and-run incident at Morrow Way. Upon investigation, the officer determined it did not occur on campus and the individual was referred to the Slippery Rock Police Department.

November 11 – An individual called dispatch requesting to speak with a veteran. The dispatcher said he was a veteran and he would talk to the individual. The person arrived and spoke to the officer.

November 11 – University Police responded to a report of an individual who may need medical treatment in Bailey Library. Upon arrival, the officers spoke with the person, who declined further assistance. The individual requested to be taken to Sheetz in the borough and the officers advised the individual to not return to campus.

November 11 – University Police responded to a theft report involving a pair of Apple AirPods Pro 2, which were stolen from the ARC. As the officer was taking the report the victim managed to call the AirPods, prompting them to ring audibly. The officer used the sound to locate the suspect who was subsequently charged.

November 13 – University Police received a report of a stolen laptop from a conference room in Smith Student Center on Nov. 12. The case is currently under investigation.

November 13 – University Police are investigating a report of a hit-and-run near Suite E between Nov. 11 and Nov. 13. The case is currently under investigation.
