A red Ford Focus collided with a pole late Tuesday on Kiester Road after a vehicle caused the driver to swerve and crash into the telephone pole next to the Strain Behavioral Science Building and West Gym, according to the driver.
The driver commented that everyone in the car was OK and nobody was severely hurt.
A traffic jam emerged following the accident, resulting in many drivers taking alternate routes to get to their destination.
The Slippery Rock Campus Police and a tow truck arrived minutes later to the scene. The car was towed and information about the accident was exchanged between the campus police and the driver.
